Help and healthcare

Your local sexual health clinic

You might be at risk of STIs or pregnancy, so contact us to arrange an appointment at your nearest clinic as soon as possible.

You don’t even need to tell us – but if you do, we’ll listen.

Sexual assault referral centres

Sexual assault referral centres have specially trained medical professionals and support workers, who offer medical, emotional, and practical support.

Our nearest centre is Paddington Haven, near to St Charles Centre for Health and Wellbeing.

Reporting the assault

You don’t have to report the crime to police if you don’t want to, or you might want time to think about what’s happened before speaking to the police.

And that’s perfectly ok.

But if you want the crime to be investigated, the sooner a forensic medical examination takes place, the better.

Try not to wash or change your clothes immediately after a sexual assault, otherwise you might destroy evidence that could be used during an investigation.

And remember: it's not your fault.
